さちこちゃんFor our Sachiko, Ishca’s venison food was not only her favorite,
but also a great source of comfort and nourishment.

Sachiko was a lively dog we welcomed from an animal shelter.
In the 10th year after she joined our family, she was diagnosed with a serious illness and told she had only a limited time left.

Because she loved eating more than anything, we decided to make the rest of her days as happy and fulfilling as possible with food she could truly enjoy.

As time went on, the number of things she was willing to eat gradually became smaller. Even so, she always happily ate Ishca’s food. Her favorites were the boiled venison and venison soup.

The rich, jelly-like texture of the venison soup made it easy to see just how much goodness from Tango venison was packed into it.

She enjoyed it just as it was, and when we made it into a corn soup with a little extra care, she loved it even more.

Simmered with corn and milk, the venison soup became one of her very favorite meals.
It may also have been a deeply nourishing source of comfort for her.

On hot days, we even froze it like ice cream, which also helped her through the summer.

Sachiko lived far beyond the time we had first been told.
She passed away peacefully, and I still feel that the venison and soup she continued to eat until just a few days before the end supported her in those precious final days.

During Sachiko’s limited time with us, Ishca gave her both gentle nourishment and moments of comfort, for which we are truly grateful.
